Research and planning: Lyrics Obstraction

From analysing music videos closely, I have established that the convention of lyrics matching visuals is a very important and rife feature. Therefore, it was neccessary to establish a strong connection with my song words before any real planning could be made.

I extracted the lyrics to my chosen song, 'Loner in Love' by 'Busted', from a standard lyrics website (there are lots to choose from where song words are submitted by everyday people and these are usually quite reliable with a set rating system) - www.azlyrics.com. These are shown below:

I removed any sections that do not appear in the cover version I have chosen as repeats are made in the original song that are not true of the creative re-make of the YouTube artist. This meant that I could then work on my initial shot ideas relative to the lyrics to ensure that I include the important music video convention of matching shots to lyrics. The amended song words are shown below:
