I have taken still print screens of the comments, shown below:
I received 7 likes for my video and a total of 9 comments. All of the comments stated something positive about the music video which allows me to see that the viewing audience generally enjoyed my music video, entertainment an important aspect in its appeal. People said that they thought the storyline was good, matching the lyrics well in addition to the appreciation of the added effects such like 'POW!' and the general running heart theme. In terms of comments relating to improvements, some constructive criticism was offered. This was to do with the acting itself in which someone noticed that the male characters were smiling in the chase scene and the drawn out fight but in relation to the construction, this is not so drastic a fault.
Someone also stated that they were not really a fan of the the added glint in the female character's eye. This is all a taste of personal preference and my justification to add this feature in my work was to do with contributing to the jokey, 'cheesey' mood that I was looking for in not making a too serious production. The person who commented on this additionally 'Facebook liked' the video in general so this did not appear to put them off the product entirely.
Overall, I am very happy with the comments and 'likes' I received for my music video and the general concensus is positive. As the purpose of a music video is to entice the audience and engage with them to purchase the single, this positive feedback is a significantly successful reaction that I was looking to achieve and if the product was to really be released, I would hope that this would be just a sample of good comments and sales.
